The Dubliner Irish Pub in Citrus Park celebrates St. Patrick’s Day with Tampa’s largest authentic Irish festival on Wednesday March 17th.
The Dubliner will be throwing its annual St. Patrick’s Day extravaganza in Citrus Park on Wednesday March 17th. The Dubliner will be making use of every inch of space by throwing a huge outdoor tent party in their parking lot. The festivities will kick off early with a special Irish luncheon buffet featuring Irish favorites such as fish and chips, shepherds pie and authentic sausages imported directly from Ireland. The buffet will run from 11am-3pm and will cost $9.95 per person. The festival will continue throughout the day and night with a variety of live entertainment from contemporary rock and roll bands on a large outdoor stage. The Stephen Scariff School of Irish Dance will be putting on two performances and will be joined by a bagpipe troupe. There will be Irish games to get the crowd into the St. Patrick’s Day revelry, including a shepherd’s pie eating contest, Irish sheep racing, a stuffed leprechaun toss and much more. Fisher from 97x will be hosting a number of contests with lots of great giveaways and prizes. Irish fare and drink specials will be served all day. There is a $5.00 cover charge starting at 4pm which includes your choice of a free Guinness, Harp or Smithwicks upon entry.
The Dubliner Irish Pub celebrates its one year anniversary after bringing their authentic Irish pub concept from south Tampa to the Citrus Park area last year. The Dubliner moved into the former Coquina Blue spot located on Gunn Highway and Henderson Blvd. and completely transformed the space into something straight out of a James Joyce novel. The space incorporates multiple themes and eras with an old whiskey and brewery section, a Victorian bar, and even a recreated Irish cottage complete with a thatch roof. The Dubliner has a full liquor bar and an expanded beer selection including an extensive variety of popular microbrewery beers on draft and in the bottle.
